| wow.... so i haven't updated in almost two months..... so i'm loving it here at WVU. when i first moved in i was in towers, and it was kind of a pain to come all the way downtown every day for 8:30 classes....but it worked out pretty well. then two weeks into classes i moved downtown and into dadisman with heather!!!!! and i absolutely love it. there is a burger king on campus that is covered on our meal plan, so i went through a burger-king-for-every-meal phase... now i'm addicted to the subs/fries from mccoys. i have yet to spend a weekend at school - i've either been home or gone home with heather every weekend since we first came to school. im going home the weekend of the 14th cause that's WVU's homecoming... and i don't really want to be here cause it's just gonna be one big party - plus i'll have to move my car anyway for the football game.... so yeah... i could really go for some food right about now..... | | |
| so im moving into wvu on friday!! aah im so excited. i'll be even more excited when heather and i can switch rooms so we can room together. bah. but yeah i can't wait to get settled in and start classes and everything
i cleaned out my car today. there were a bunch of my brother's soda cans and a crapload of random receipts and stuff. i'm so happy i'm gonna be able to bring it with me to school... that means numerous random trips home
| wow so its been a reeeallly long time.... im home for the summer now - ive been back for about a month now. we moved and our new house is awesome. it doesn't smell like old people like our other house. yeah its pretty sweet.
it seems like every time i come home, there are new people working at chong yet yin and the owners have, once again, changed the prices. im finally getting used to the new prices and all the people working there are awesome. i miss abbie and christa though :'-(
so im leaving on wednesday for morgantown. since im transferring schools, i have to go to the WVU orientation. woooooot. i'll finally get my schedule worked out - even though they have my transcript, they apparently didnt realize that i have already taken all but one of the classes for which im now registered. oh well. it'll work out. ANNNDDDD hopefully the roommate situation will be fixed soon. cause i need to live with heather. i just need to. yeah.
my brother now works at burger king. he gets a name tag. i want a name tag for chong yet yin. bah.
| so over mayterm im taking Business and Society and a couple days ago we had to go downtown and see how the businesses there relate to society on local and global levels. so i was with a few other girls and we had just started walking down beverly street and there is a guy parked on the side of the road (all parallel parking downtown) with his window open listening to bob marley. THEN we realize that he is rolling a joint. OH I THINK I'LL JUST GET MY POT READY RIGHT HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN! it was mildly creepy. after we went up and down the strip("downtown" is VERY small) we still had some time left, so we ran into our teacher and he flagged down the trolley and told us to go around the trolley route. the NORMAL trolley route goes from downtown to the park and back - 20 minutes tops. THIS trolley however was on a different route and its GOOD THING I STARTED TALKING TO THE DRIVER BEFORE WE ACTUALLY WENT ANYWHERE. this route apparently went all around staunton and would have taken an hour to get back to school. i mean holy crap. that would be GREAT. sorry dr. petkus - we were late getting back to class because the trolley you put us on decided to go to the other side of town before going back to MBC. so instead of going on that little adventure we just went back to school and waited for the rest of the class to get back. it was great. very exciting day.

| EVERYBODY should read The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twentieth Century by Thomas Friedman. I'm reading it for my mayterm class and it is such an eye-opener.
I'm going home for the summer in exactly one week!!!! We are moving a week and a half after I get back so it should be pretty hectic when i come home. Right after we move i'll be going to WVU for orientation stuff.....im kind of worried about class scheduling and stuff because they have different requirements than MBC - all of my GenEd classes should be taken care of since i've pretty much taken them all here, but my business courses may drag out at WVU....ugh i'll be so happy when I go down for orientation and can register and figure out exactly what i need to do.
My class ring for MBC apparently came a couple days ago....that figures now that i'm transferring! psh whatever i still want to keep it and wear it!
